Universal Healing Tao according toMantak Chia

Universal Healing Tao Classes in Berlin

There are many ways to teach and learn Healing TAO. Here is one of them.

Trainingsprogramm in Universal Healing Tao

Over the years, I have developed my own very personal, feminine style of teaching TAO and, in the process, have created a fantastic training program. My classes span several years, during which students can learn various branches of TAO.

Class taught by a female teacher, Julia Nitzsche

Since I am a woman, I decided from the very beginning not to teach TAO exactly as Master Mantak Chia does. My energy system is feminine, and so I react to, process, and experience the exercises differently than a male teacher would. This makes my teaching very unique, and my enthusiastic participants are the best feedback I could ask for. As a senior teacher in the system, I am delighted to continue developing the feminine branch of Healing TAO.

  • For beginners, I recommend the “TAO Basics – Five Elements Course” in the first year. Over the course of a year, divided into sections, you’ll learn all the basic exercises and meditations. In the process, you’ll develop a sense of the five elements within you and gain a deeper understanding of the teaching of the five Shen (spiritual beings) within yourself. Each section (element) is self-contained and must be booked separately.

During this time, you can also study the Healing Love branch to gain a deeper understanding of the power of sexual energy. For men, I’m happy to recommend a male colleague.

It’s wonderful to repeat courses time and again to deepen your practice and get to know your own energy body more intimately.

  • Once you have a solid grasp of the basics, it’s easy to move on to the “Fusion 1-3 – In Harmony with Body, Mind, and Soul” retreat.

Participating in a retreat at Haus Lichtquell (Black Forest) can also open up new depths of Healing Tao. Retreats on various topics are held there, including: “Healing the Ancestral Lineage,” “Cosmic Healing,” “Healing from Within” (Bone Marrow Nei Gong), “The Tao of Women,” and others.

This can be followed by the inner alchemy of the “Lesser Kan & Li.” Here, an inner union of Yin and Yang within us takes place, leading to the generation of our own healing energy.

All current courses are listed in the seminar calendar and can be booked there.

Retreats and Educational Leave in Universal Healing Tao

Time to deepen your Taoist practice

Whether we’re already familiar with the Healing TAO practice or not, a retreat is definitely a time when we can deepen something within ourselves.

Our connection to ourselves and our inner center—our spiritual practice. We can become aware of where we stand internally and where we want to go. What do we want to let go of so we can move forward more easily? What do we want to clarify so we can feel more purified?

Leaving Everyday Life Behind

It is precisely our day-to-day routine that often leaves us little room to delve deeper into our practice or to connect deeply with our inner selves. A retreat is therefore a special gift to ourselves, allowing us to simply dive deeper within.

Taoist teachings focus intensively on the five elements (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, Earth) within us. The so-called five Shen (spiritual beings) reside in our internal organs and have many correspondences in our body and mind, as well as in the nature around us (cardinal directions, planets, seasons, etc.). A deeper immersion in the teachings and practice of Healing TAO can give us a new understanding of our “patterns” and “issues.”

Finding Ourselves

One of the basic practices, for example, is the Inner Smile meditation. Here, we turn our loving attention to our internal organs, the five Shen. When we are truly in contact with the five Shen, we can also connect with the elements of nature around us and feel the cosmic flow within us. Connected in this way to the forces of heaven and earth, we can more easily stay centered in our daily lives.

Retreats Are Sanctuaries for Ourselves

For more than 30 years, I have regularly incorporated retreat periods into my life. Whether it’s a personal, solitary retreat in a monastery, a self-awareness seminar on a specific topic, or an intensive guided group retreat with a TAO teacher, a retreat is a special time for each of us. We connect with ourselves on a deep level that is usually not possible amid the demands of daily life. As a Universal Healing TAO teacher, I am happy to share this experience during a retreat.

You can find all currently scheduled retreats in the seminar calendar.

  • Since 2018, I have been leading 5- to 6-day retreats. This is a very special time for ourselves, which we are able to experience detached from our daily lives. Very often, the deep healing space of a retreat allows for a unique immersion into the practice and into ourselves. The themes of the retreats always vary slightly and are usually a blend of different Taoist practices.

Since 2021, I have been leading retreats 1–2 times a year at Haus Lichtquell in the Black Forest near Freiburg (www.lichtquell.de). The location of this retreat center alone is a healing experience. Seminars and retreats have been held there for over 40 years with many different spiritual teachers. The energy field at Haus Lichtquell is particularly healing. The retreats are open to all participants from all courses, as well as to new participants.

For many years now, a retreat on Inner Alchemy has been held in Berlin (Fusion and Lesser Kan & Li) in early February.

In the summer of 2026, I submitted an application for approval of a five-day educational leave program. The first educational leave program is scheduled to take place in Berlin in November 2026. Binding reservations can be made at any time.
